Sweet Memories- A Note From Josie's Mom

One of our family favorites was making enough caramel sauce that we could have it available when we'd want it!  We were a dessert every night kind of family!

Typical was to pick the apples from our vintage tree in the front yard. They were crisp and juicy.

We would then heat up the sauce in a double boiler so it wouldn't burn and bring the hot sauce to the table for dipping. There is nothing like a slice of apple dipped into hot caramel sauce with the chill of fall air outside.

Oh, such good sweet memories and traditions we still enjoy now!
