In our latest book, Work It!, we not only helped women choose their style type, explained what colors work best, and recommended what to wear to work, but we also showed our readers great examples of looking their best at every age. We believe that age is a state of mind and that you, first, have to work on being healthy and happy. Make it a priority to put yourself first. Invest time and energy into your personal style to remain fresh and current — you deserve it!
Take a look at some of our favorite examples of looking amazing at every age straight from the pages of Work It!
40s: Our friend, Lisa Robertson, is a busy professional. Her personal style is whimsical, playful, and fun. Since she loves black, we recommended a chic black trench from QVC with a pop of color underneath as an update for spring. An expert herself, Lisa always looks chic, but this piece heightens her "wow" factor.
50s: Our friend, Lynn, lives in Chicago. She's an empty-nest mother and environmentalist. In order to be most effective, she chooses to step up her game when it comes to personal style. Dresses are a real trend for spring, so we chose a bold blue number instead of a suit. The blue definitely makes the color of her eyes pop! We paired it with neutral shoes, which are a great thing to invest in because they elongate the leg and go with everything. Now this is what we call a power look!
60s: Maye Musk is a dietician and motivational speaker. She likes to keep it simple when it comes to her fashion formula. She travels all over the world teaching women how to live healthier lives. We found that keeping her foundation neutral and incorporating color into her accessories was the way to go. This gives her the most mileage from her basic pieces and allows her to always look age-appropriate. Maye also knows that neutral works best with her natural hair color and uses it to her advantage. A statement necklace completes her look.
Be sure to tune in on April 4th at 1 a.m. ET for the launch of our must-have accessory collection, VT Luxe, along with more styling tips. We look forward to giving you endless inspiration for spring!
