Baking Christmas cookies is a holiday tradition that goes back about as far as I can remember! One that is always a favorite: Snickerdoodles! Cinnamon + sugar + cookie = yummy! Here’s the recipe my mom and I have made for years. Enjoy!
Snickerdoodles
1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons baking soda
3 cups flour
1/4 teaspoons salt
Cinnamon
Sugar
Green and red colored sugar or sprinkles
Mix first 8 ingredients together. Roll into 1 inch balls.
Mix cinnamon, sugar and green colored sugar in one bowl... and in a 2nd bowl mix cinnamon, sugar and red colored sugar. Roll balls into cinnamon mixtures. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes.
