Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Yes, I'm that person. The one who'll be up to three trees this year. The one who keeps checking the radio in November to see if the carol station is live yet. The one who gets giddy over Santa sightings at the mall (and makes Gabby cringe when I take pictures every time!) It’s just that simple…I’m OBSESSED.

We embrace the holiday season like two crazy people, and have traditions that we never skip, year after year. We decorate to the nines, we watch holiday movies, we send cheesy Christmas cards, we dress Peekaboo (our pup) up in a Santa costume, and of course, we bake Santa cookies!

I’m lucky that my daughter loves the spirit of Christmas and the happiness that Santa brings just as much as I do, no matter what age she is. Every year since she was born, I’ve taken her to see Santa (and I may or may not participate as well)

We seize every opportunity to remind ourselves that OF COURSE Santa is real. There’s no question. So when I heard that the Q is now offering a service where kids get TEXT MESSAGES from Santa, I nearly lost my mind. I signed up right away and have been giddy with happiness each time I hear that ping on her phone… waiting for her reaction.

How amazing is that!? Now of course, Gabby's reaction may not be the same as a 5 year-old's, but I have to admit, even I got a tingle when I saw the text messages. I just absolutely love the things parents do to enhance the magic of Christmas for their kids. Last year, near our house we saw this:

Even as a 40-year-old woman, my heart leap immediately. IS HE LIVING JUST DOWN THE STREET FROM US!?!?

I hope your home is filled with magic, joy and the spirit of Santa Claus this Christmas. I'll keep sharing Gabby's texts from Santa! If you're interested in having them sent to a little one you know, you can click right here to learn more! If the kids are too young to read, just send texts to your phone instead. You can even save Santa’s number and assign a special ringtone so the kids know it’s him!

Happy Holidays!!
