Roaring 20's Party- Cara Turning 20!

by on ‎02-24-2016 09:18 AM

We had a Roaring 20's party to celebrate Cara turning 20!! She came up with the darling idea, and then it was on to party planning. I had the best party pros ever to help me, my sister Chrissy, our dear friend Florence, and my brother in law Jay, who provided authentic 1920’s antiques to set the scene. Here are some highlights on how to throw a 1920’s party!!Redo1.jpg

We set the scene with a welcome table featuring an antique phone, and a typewriter that spelled “Happy Birthday Cara” on the paper.

My Brother in Law Jay lent us sheet music from the 20’s that turned a print into a 1920s scene!

We turned our basement into a Speakeasy.  I brought every gold and crystal accent I could find downstairs, and Florence added her artistic touch!

We served drinks in teacups, with a sign explaining how that tied into Prohibition.

Scattered around the room were family photos from the 1920’s, and photos of Cara flapper-style! 6.jpg

The “Sweet-Easy” table had a fabulous cake from The Master’s Baker, and treat bags with candy that was introduced in the 1920s and still popular today.
