For a lot of us, this is the week our kids go to a summer camp...

I remember Susan Graver always telling me about getting her three kids ready for camp.  She stressed about labeling their clothes and remembering to pack every last detail.

I sent Nicole to summer camp this week again for the fourth year...we have been blessed that she has loved meeting new friends and visiting new places...

I am grateful for tummy settling medicines or it would not happen for me because a few days before I begin to wonder, “what I was thinking encouraging her to go...be independent from me are you kidding me...lol...”?!?!

This is the part where I tell you about all of the projects I will be able to do with my new found free time.  The first few years I had great plans but always sort of ran out of steam after the first week...

I could be cleaning because I have boxes that have not been open in probably a decade....

Maybe I should exercise but that would mean I would have to take the rolled up carpets off of the treadmill...

I could paint but I would feel guilty staying inside with such beautiful summer weather...

Perhaps I will stick to weeding and reading for the summer...and sending her cards and messages filled with encouragement and snacks...yes they will know my name at the post office by the end of the summer

Camp is a wonderful time for our kids to grow...and maybe a time for all of us to take a long summer nap...

Please share your summer camp stories?  Also what you will be doing while your kids are at camp this summer?  Do not be too ambitious otherwise you will make me feel really guilty..lol
