My Inner Cheerleader

by on ‎03-08-2018 01:03 PM

From shopping with you on QVC to sharing fun moments from my life on social media, it may seem like I am a very confident person who has it all together.  Sometimes, that’s how everything seems on social media these days. The truth is, it is not the case.

Don’t get me wrong, I have days when I feel super confident and outgoing, but there are many days I need pull out my inner-cheerleader - my mom.

My mom is my biggest fan, she always has been. I credit her (and my dad) for giving me the strength I needed to follow my passion in life. From as early as I can remember, she would always make me feel like I was special enough to be anything I wanted to be.

As women, I think we constantly question everything:

Are we good enough?

Are we strong enough?

Are we present enough for our families?

Are we pretty enough?

My mom always made sure to tell me I was all of those things and I could tell she meant it. She also pushed me do things that were outside of my comfort zone. From choir to plays to even my high school dance team (still can’t dance). She pushed me to get in front of an audience when I was battling being very shy, and I am so glad she did. When I am having a bad day, I try to channel the confidence my mom has in me and it helps me make it through whatever situation comes my way.

I hope you have an inner-cheerleader. I hope you know you are enough. As I continue my journey at QVC, I want my Facebook page to become a place where you can feel inspired to love yourself and together, I hope we can put a little more love and joy out into the world. I thought this post about my mom on International Women’s Day would be a good start.

When you are feeling less than 100 percent, remember your inner-cheerleader. You are meant to do great things, and maybe you are someone else’s inner-cheerleader.

Inspire and empower the women in your life.

My Mom will ALWAYS be the woman that inspires me.   Sadly, I lost my Mom last July and as heartbreaking as it is she lives inside of me everyday of my life.   She was strong, patient, kind, loving, funny, never lost her faith, and helped me through difficult times in my life with lots of love and good advice.  She was a blessing and her strength, love and faith will forever be with me.

My Mom was my biggest fan and my best friend!  I miss her everyday but I am so glad that she pushed

me out of my comfort  zone and made me as independant as she was!   Thanks for sharing your story

with us and you are both so beautiful!

And no doubt your Mom is incredibly proud of you and the lovely and successful young woman you've become. And you're both beautiful on the outside. PS and by the way, you look so much softer & prettier in the photo of both of you with your eyebrows shaped the way you did them then. Your presentations on the Q are great, one would think you've been there for years you seem so comfortable and present things so smoothly. The Q did good when they hired you!

Your Mom is beautiful and so are you, you are so lucky to have a Mom who supports you so much. I think you are doing a great job, I enjoy your shows. I saw you with Nick Chavez early this morning , he's quite a handful.

Hello. My name is Penny and I have watched QVC for years. I have watched the hosts come and go and move on with their lives and of course those who have been there for as long as I have watched.

It never ceases to amaze me at how anyone can learn to be so fluid with descriptions and information about one product at a time and not be stuttering and stammering for the next word. My grandchildren and I have even played QVC  trying to emulate your job. The most fun role to play is that of the caller who asks questions and compliments the host.

I would like you to know that I truly do enjoy watching you because you are just so pretty, I love seeing your nail polish color or what lipstick you wear and your glorious hair. I will tell you this as well that the thing I enjoy most is how articulate you are and how genuine. You seem so at ease with the different representitives from the companies that you speak for, and your ideas and remarks are informative and interesting. Now that I have read a little about you I do see that you are just who you present yourself as .

The photos of you and your Mom are wonderful and you are look alikes. I am so glad that you shared them and  that you shared losing her as well. I am so sorry for your loss. It is perhaps one of the hardest things to endure in a person's lifetime.

I do so hope that you enjoy what you are doing at QVC and that you will be there for as long as you would like to be. Thank you for looking so great each and every day and being so cultured, refined and smart.

Best regards. Penny
