My Inner Cheerleader

by on ‎03-08-2018 01:03 PM

From shopping with you on QVC to sharing fun moments from my life on social media, it may seem like I am a very confident person who has it all together.  Sometimes, that’s how everything seems on social media these days. The truth is, it is not the case.

Don’t get me wrong, I have days when I feel super confident and outgoing, but there are many days I need pull out my inner-cheerleader - my mom.

My mom is my biggest fan, she always has been. I credit her (and my dad) for giving me the strength I needed to follow my passion in life. From as early as I can remember, she would always make me feel like I was special enough to be anything I wanted to be.

As women, I think we constantly question everything:

Are we good enough?

Are we strong enough?

Are we present enough for our families?

Are we pretty enough?

My mom always made sure to tell me I was all of those things and I could tell she meant it. She also pushed me do things that were outside of my comfort zone. From choir to plays to even my high school dance team (still can’t dance). She pushed me to get in front of an audience when I was battling being very shy, and I am so glad she did. When I am having a bad day, I try to channel the confidence my mom has in me and it helps me make it through whatever situation comes my way.

I hope you have an inner-cheerleader. I hope you know you are enough. As I continue my journey at QVC, I want my Facebook page to become a place where you can feel inspired to love yourself and together, I hope we can put a little more love and joy out into the world. I thought this post about my mom on International Women’s Day would be a good start.

When you are feeling less than 100 percent, remember your inner-cheerleader. You are meant to do great things, and maybe you are someone else’s inner-cheerleader.

Inspire and empower the women in your life.

Xoxo,

Courtney Khondabi

You're a very professional host, but please stop looking at yourself in the monitor every few seconds.  It's very distracting   and I never see the other hosts doing it.
