Ever since I found out I was going to be on QVC I could barely contain myself. I was over the top excited. I felt that at this stage in my career I was being given the most amazing gift: the opportunity to talk about Paula's Choice Skin Care in a supportive and caring environment. And that's just what it was like at QVC. Everyone from my wonderful host Shawn Killinger to the staff back stage, and everyone in between, was fully involved to help showcase my, Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, in the best way possible.

For me it was a challenging experience. I was as excited as I was nervous, even though I've appeared on hundreds of talk shows. With Dr. Oz and Oprah, I could generically discuss my research, ingredients, and how they are used in skin care products. But now, for the first time on QVC, I was getting to talk about the products I formulated with my team, specifically about why certain products that can be game changing for skin.

The people I work with tease me that “there is no crying in cosmetics” because they know I always get emotional about what I do. At QVC I was more emotional than usual. When I met Shawn Killinger before the show, her enthusiasm and understanding triggered my strong feelings about being there at QVC. Thankfully I didn't have my makeup on yet because even though the makeup I wear is pretty tenacious tears can always leave a mess.

So there I was waiting in the wings, listening to Shawn gracefully and eloquently introduce me to the QVC audience.

Lights, camera, action! I was on and it was the most fun I have ever had on air.

Thank you to Shawn and the whole QVC team for making my first appearance on QVC so incredibly special. I'm also grateful to the QVC viewers for their enthusiastic welcome.
