Meet Oscar

by on ‎01-05-2018 02:15 PM

You know Norman & Derek... please say hello to the newest member of our family, Oscar!

This grey and white cutie showed up at our front door on a cold, rainy afternoon back in November. He was sick and scared, but after 2 trips to the ER, and a few weeks of meds and TLC... he has bounced back! We named him Oscar, because we found him digging through our trash.

The day he showed up, we took him to the SPCA in case someone was missing him.  Nobody claimed him, so we welcomed him into our family.  Norman, of course, was excited to have a new brother!  Derek took a little bit longer to come around!  (see Derek lurking on his birdwatching stand!)

After many weeks of "bonding", Oscar and Derek actually begged for breakfast, together!  Forget that Derek took a swing at Oscar about 3 seconds after this pic was taken... they still ate next to each other!

Suddenly...this trio turned into the Three Musketeers!

Derek is even sharing his birdwatching stand with Oscar!

One big happy fur-family!  Happy New Year from our house, to yours!

Wonderful!!! Over 30 years ago, we had the same experience. A cat appeared at our door. We took him to the local shelter on chance that someone was missing him. Turns out, no one was and our first cat became part of our family. Cats have been part of our family ever since.

Katie, I'm a cat lover too!  Enjoy your presentations.  Love your furbabies.  I have two cats (Katie (named after my youngest daughter) and Bill (named after my late husband).  Katie the cat doesn't want anything to do with me and I've had her for about 3 or so years.....I don't take it personally...Bill on the other hand is my best bud.  We are a two-some.

Anyway, take care and Happy New Year.

Oscar knew which doorstep to turn up on.  Blessings to both of you for being such caring people.  Love the photos and seeing how beautiful he is, now that he's being taken care of and loved.

Katie, you are the best!  Thank you for taking Oscar in and giving him a loving home.  All of your pets are beautiful!  I have two rescue cats, Sophie and Lily.  I truly believe that our pets find us.  And in Oscars case, this is certainly true.  Please keep posting more pictures of these sweet animals.  I so enjoy you as a QVC host too.

Heaven holds a special place for people like you and your hubby who open their hearts and homes to these precious fur babies. They know you saved them and they love you forever for it. (We have 5 kitties and 2 doggies, all rescues, and we can't imagine a day without them❣)  Bless you both.
