The place was gorgeous, the weather divine, her dress was amazing, and of course; her hair was perfect! Our dear friend and award winning stylist, Maria McCool of Calista, said, “I do” last weekend in a gorgeous estate wedding overlooking the Delaware River.

I'm a big fan of weddings. I love to be surrounded by love, getting dressed up and dancing the night away! And my husband and I did just that! The food was amazing and the band was great. The dance floor was packed and hubby and I shook it like no one was watching.

Maria is such a laid back, easy going girl and her wedding, while utterly gorgeous, was still very relaxed. The guests laughed and clapped during the short ceremony and of course; Rachel Boesing and Lisa Robertson and I all got teary when Maria started crying during her vows.

We also got to spend the evening laughing with Shawn Killinger and her husband Joe, as well as Jane Tracey, Mary Beth Roe and Jill Bauer. It wasn't a huge wedding, only about 150 people, but because the grounds were so massive it seemed even more intimate under the twinkling lights of the outdoor tent.

A few of my favorite touches were the rocks placed at each person’s seat that had their name and a word of inspiration. Mine was "true" and my husband Dan's was "justice." We’re still trying to figure his out.

I also adored her dress and she says the best part is she gets to continue to wear it! She will put a black sheath under it and it will look completely different. I did the same thing with mine actually. I'll have another blog about that next week.

Some weddings are beautiful and some are fun but rarely do you get to attend a wedding that seems just perfect. I truly believe this bride’s calm demeanor made all the difference. She was having fun and laughing the entire time. Maria is that one friend of mine who is always so positive and always trusts everything will come together for good. She relies on the Lord and she breathes her way through life. I'm pretty sure if she keeps that same mantra in her new married life, her and Nick will absolutely live happily ever after.
Since it's Wedding Season, I thought it would be helpful to point out some great wedding gifts we have and Bridal must-haves!
