MEET HOST - Mary Nelson

by on ‎06-14-2017 01:36 PM

Life is a funny, unpredictable, tremendous experience.

I grew up in eastern Kentucky, surrounded by hard-working and kind-hearted people, including a family full of characters.

In my early 20s, television news called me to Omaha – a city that surprised and delighted me, and will always make my heart swell.

It’s where I met my husband, Troy.

He’s hilarious, smart, and thoughtful.

We’re both sports fans!  During football season – we cheer on the Kansas City Chiefs and Nebraska Cornhuskers.  Then, when basketball season hits, we’re chanting C-A-T-S, CATS, CATS, CATS!

Troy is also patient.  He tolerates my projects. I’m constantly doing things – almost all of which require protective gear, make a lot of noise, and are crazy-messy!

Our son, Action, was adopted from the Nebraska Humane Society.  He’s a schnauzer, and has the biggest heart!  He enjoy walks, snacks, naps, snacks, dog parks, and snacks.

Prior to joining QVC, I co-hosted The Morning Blend – a live, lifestyle show.  I was part of an awesome team, and can’t speak highly enough of those seven years!

I feel incredibly fortunate to have this new opportunity!  Becoming a QVC host had long been a dream.  For a country girl, seeing life as it is now is simply surreal.

What I know is that I’m grateful!  I’m grateful beyond measure for the wonderful people God has put in my path along the way, and I’ll always do my best to do right by their confidence, support, and love.  I’m grateful for the connections I’ve made early on in my time with QVC, and for the relationships I know are yet to come.

Wish you the best!
