Italian Inspiration

by ‎06-12-2018 10:51 AM - edited ‎06-12-2018 10:52 AM

Bill and I had the ultimate gift of being hosted by our dear friends along the Amalfi Coast of Italy. Mario is native to the area and he and his wife Branka were so passionate about the places they would introduce us to. We spent time exploring Ischia, Capri, Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello, each with its unique charm and beauty. Needless to say, we were inspired by the places we visited, but also by the delightful people we are blessed to call our dear friends. Upon our return home, Bill and I immediately collaborated with our design team on these inspired collections, celebrating this amazing part of our world. We hope they take you away!  Please join me on this “jewelry journey” on QVC!

Natural Beauty adorns you with the beauty and romance of the garden. The natural, easy elegance of the Amalfi Coast.

I was blown away by the amazing cliffside gardens along the Amalfi Coast. The colors and scents of the flowers on an intimate patio inviting us to look beyond to the breathtaking view of the endless sea and sky. I had never seen anything quite like this. It is no surprise that this magical, natural beauty inspires the passion and romance so prominent in Italian fabrics and fashion.

Positano

A sense of calm embraced us when Positano first came into view, our boat approaching the sun washed Moorish style architecture that climbs the steep cliffs overlooking the sea. As we climbed the narrow streets and stairways I kept wondering how this was all constructed, tucked neatly yet naturally together to create this amazing city. I was entranced by each structure’s unique color and shape, as well as its balcony, archways and awnings.

The Positano collection celebrates these architectural treasures through inspired sterling bezels and prongs that embrace cushion cut gemstones of golden mother of pearl, blue lace agate, orange carnelian, variscite and salmon coral. Recapturing the picturesque memories  of Positano.

Capri

The hills of the island of Capri are alive with the vibrant color of lemon trees.

The lemon’s refreshing taste, scent and color are are an integral element in coastal Italian culture, lifestyle and fashion. We literally dined under a sky of lemons one gorgeous evening on the island of Capri.

The Capri collection features clusters of faceted citrine in sterling branches and leaves from the lemon tree.

Ravello

This lush cliffside village is beloved for the breathtaking views from its many gardens. It is also here where some of the most iconic and collected Italian ceramics are still crafted and shipped around the world. If only I had more time to shop! These intricate patterns inspire not only colorful home décor, but also motifs in clothing and accessories.

The Ravello collection captures the colors and intricate details of the ceramics of Ravello in romantic silver work and vibrant turquoise and citrine.
