It is the same “How Smooth” fit you know and love in a new straight-leg silhouette. Many of you have been asking when this jean is coming back in…well tomorrow, January 28th, is YOUR day!!!!

Please check out Monika’s travel story below, and let us know how you like your new jeans!

Hello Denim Divas,

My name is Monika, and I have been part of the QVC family since 2005. Boy, how time flies when you are having fun collaborating with a great team on designing new product! My role in development is to search the world for quality fabrics and trims at a value for Denim & Co. and other products sold by QVC. Once the line is finalized and goes into production, I manage each step of production to ensure all key milestones are achieved to deliver you a quality product.

I recently returned from a trip to Shanghai, China, where I was able to see this jean and our Denim & Co. Perfect Jersey Elbow Sleeve Top with High-Low Hem in production and wear-test the items during my trip. The pant is so comfortable that I didn’t want to take them off. I found a few ways to change my outfits so I could wear the pants a couple of days throughout my two-week visit. Don’t you love it when you can mix outfits and make them look different and new? If you liked our original Denim & Co. "How Smooth" Modern Waist Pull-on Jeans, you will really like our new version. It fits the same throughout the hip and thigh but has a slimmer leg. I’m personally a fan of the slimmer cut because it will make your legs look a mile long!

Here is a picture of me test-wearing the pant and t-shirt. This picture is outside of a small temple in Shanghai.

Here I was visiting with the manufacturer while these jeans were being made. I had a chance to review the colors for final approval to make sure everything looked great.

I absolutely love to travel. It is one of my favorite things to do, so I always jump on any opportunity to do so with my husband and our two dogs. The trip to Shanghai is always busy and filled with long days and lots of meetings, so I look forward to lunch breaks where I’m able to enjoy time chatting with coworkers while trying different food. I must admit, one must be adventurous while traveling to China as the food is always interesting, to say the least. I surprised myself and tried everything that was served. I ate jelly fish, fish soup, and Lotus flower seed, which was the strangest. I would compare the Lotus seeds to a raw sunflower seed. As they say though, when in Rome…or, in my case, China.

Top left: The Bund. It was a breath-taking sight at night. It is a waterfront area in central Shanghai filled with restaurants and shops.

Bottom left: Various vegetables and Cray fish

Top right: Fish Soup

Middle right: Walking to lunch in Shanghai, I came across a stand full of these neat items. The picture is of various sized Gourd Temple tassles. The practice is to bless one at a Temple and hang it in your car for good luck.

Bottom right: My favorite, Lotus flower seeds.

What are some wild and unusual foods you have tried? I’d love to hear from you!

Monika
