Working with Joan for 25 years taught me so much about style and how women dress. While she was consistently on the best-dressed list, Joan also knew how important it was to be comfortable - particularly when dressing casually.

The boyfriend shirt was Joan’s go-to choice for Cooper’s soccer games, antiquing in Connecticut, a Saturday afternoon at the movies, or even having fun with friends on the lake!

With Joan, Spike and friends on Lake Tahoe. (Note the chic boyfriend shirt on Joan!)

Here we are almost 20 years ago having a fantastic day on Lake Tahoe.  Joan (and Neil Sedaka, to Joan's left in the hat), me, and other friends…. and of course Joan’s beloved Spike in her arms! (Spike was her constant companion and was always with her whether she was performing, on vacation, or even at QVC - as many of you might remember).

During this mini vacation, Joan was performing with Neil all week and I'm not sure what was more fun: the two of them on stage performing or off stage acting up!!! Joan loved to relax in the sun, kick back and have a good time… but she was always funnyThat she could never turn off!

At midnight on July 20th, Leah Williams and I will present our first ever Boyfriend Shirt Today’s Special Value!!

Joan had a way of styling these menswear-inspired shirts that made them chic and feminine. Pop the collar and flip a cuff! Buttoned up with a fabulous scarf or open like a soft, casual jacket over a tee or a sweater.

The go-to fabric Joan and I turned to over and over again for our boyfriend style shirts is denim. And it’s my favorite.  Our TSV is in a new weight of denim, slightly lighter than our regular fabric. So it’s perfect for all year round.

And remember, denim is the only fabric that, the more it gets washed and broken-in, the better it looks and feels!

Like Ralph Lauren did 30 years ago when he reinvented denim as a high-end designer fabric, Joan made us look at denim through new eyes.

If you are already a fan of Joan’s fabulous Boyfriend shirts, you are in for a special treat at midnight on Monday, July 20th.

If you haven’t tried one yet, join me then and I’ll be happy to introduce you to your new boyfriend!!!

PS- Our Today’s Special Value will come in six gorgeous denim colors including the color of the month: OLIVE!!! It’s stunning!!!

Dear David, I enjoy your shows -you are doing a terrific job.! I have the boyfriend shirt in PETITE in four colors: indigo, Med. Blue, Chambray, and the Joan Rivers Red. I would love the new OLIVE.   Please bring it back in the petite, I tried my first one in regular length but it was much too long. I think the demand for Petite would be sufficient for manufacturing. Keep up the good work.

You are doing a wonderful job carrying on for Joan.   I was wondering if you will be or can bring a small bee pin in plain gold, no enamel, like the one you wear to QVC in costume jewelry.  It is such a cute size.

Keep up the good work!
