I'm not a slippers girl, but I AM an Orthaheel girl (slippers included)

Let me start out by saying… I don’t wear slippers.  And it’s not for reasons you may think.  Growing up, I lived in a log cabin, and the word slipper and all of its connotations just did not exist in my realm.  You see, IF I was going to wear slippers, I was going to wear socks, and IF I was going to wear socks I was going to pretend like I was ice-skating on our slick floors and totally give Kristy Yamaguchi a run for her money in Olympic Gold.  These were just my thoughts at 7… but you can understand how the thought of a slipper just did not transfer over.

When I got older, I would see a slipper every now again and I hate to say it, but they were on my dear beautiful grandmother… who wore them on carpet … and they made a funny squishy noise.

This past week, QVC came to me and said… let’s do a fashion piece on an Orthaheel Slipper for our Today’s Special Value coming up.  In a matter of sheer seconds I relived moments of my 20 years past… Taking gold for the US over Nancy Kerrigan and the best chicken and dumplings I had ever eaten made by my grandmother… in slippers… that matched the carpet.  Oh no.

You can imagine I said, “What, I’m sorry?”  You see, I’ve been a fan of Orthaheel ever since the made my favorite sandal, A221500.  The thought of that sandal… now in a slipper, I could not imagine it.

Well, Well, Well, I am here to tell you that I spent the past weekend all over PA trekking in my very comfy, very cute slippers! I had two women stop me, one including my vet to tell me they needed to have those “Shoes.”  When I told them they were a slipper… they had the same reaction as me, “What?”   This is twice now Orthaheel has made me fall in love with a shoe… not to mention, change the way I feel about slippers!

In a nut shell, this shoe feels warm and cozy like a slipper, but as you can see, I wore it more as a clog on two separate occasions to give it more of a fashion feel.

Taking a breather and enjoying the fire.

About to go on air with Dave James wearing the slippers, plaid tights, and my favorite burgundy sweater.

Running errands around town… nautical/preppy themed with accessories (Steel by Design Cuff & a Gossip Watch)

So you be the judge… How will you wear your new indoor/outdoor slippers from Orthaheel?
