Hip, Hip Hooray and CIJ!!!

It’s been a little while since you heard from me…here’s why. Right after the last show of our Spring season in May, I headed in for a new right hip. Thanks to an awesome orthopedic surgeon and loving family and friends I’m back in the saddle and ready for the next 50,000 miles! As one dear Facebook friend said, “Hip, Hip Hooray!!!” I couldn’t agree more!

Fortunately my recovery period has been brief, which is a blessing because we've been busy with all the preparations for Christmas in July!!! To me, there’s always been something fun - and a little crazy - about shopping for holiday decorations and gifts when it’s 90 degrees outside! I’ve heard about those of you who have CIJ parties with mothers, sisters, daughters, nieces and best friends. And I’ve also heard about those of you who turn the air conditioner as cold as it will go, make hot cocoa and curl up on the couch determined to not miss a minute of holiday programming. At our house we would call that “crazy good”!!! And this year, Christmas in July will be all month long, starting with our midnight Heartfelt Holidays show on Wednesday July 1st.

We thought you might enjoy seeing some photos from our recent Christmas in July shoot. We always have lots of fun with QVC’s crew. An amazing team of talented professionals that always bring their A-game to whatever they do!

This is Jay, who is usually working the live show, but stepped in to help out on this shoot. In fact, when you tune in for Your Home with Jill, it’s Jay who’s following Jill as she walks from set to set with a 60 pound “portable” camera. It’s truly amazing all that goes on behind the scenes to make a shoot go smoothly.
