I viewed the sale of the Calista Tools Perfecter Pro Grip Heated Round Brush & Bag.  I didn't use it much because my hair is curly and tangles and I needed to use a flat iron first.  The other issue I had was trying to lock in the temperature which didn't always work and instead the tool would shut off.  Last week I decided to try the brush and it was totally dead.  I got it in May 2014.  I looked through the feedback and noted that I was not the only buyer whose tool was totally dead after a short time.  Aparently they tried to call your help line for this tool and they could get no help.  I was livid when I saw this on QVC now.  I had just left feedback last night with one star.  $97.00 is just too much money for a hair tool that doesn't last more than a year or even less.

I love my perfecter--however I took it with me to Switzerland last summer and it did not work. I had the converter and adaptors and the light would go on but it never heated up. My sister also took hers and the same thing happened. Does it not work on Europe's voltage?

Bought my perfector just a year ago, today it completely stopped working for no reason!

Not sure what it means on the "Lifetime Limited Warranty" or what it covers?

I have extremely thick hair, chin-length  that does not curl easily.  It usually ends up tangles in products or takes hours to curl. Will this tool work to give me volume and body.

When I turn mine on it flashes E1 and will not heat up.  What is the problem? I have had it less than a year.

I have had my Calista Tools Perfecter Pro Grip for about 1 year. It has now stopped working without any reason and I am wondering how I can get it repaired or replaced.

I have very short and extremely layered hair.  Normally I just use your styling products and use my fingers and sometimes a styling flat iron to obtain some volume to my hair and due to the way my hair is cut I can style my hair in numerous ways...for instance, instead of wearing the back just flat and layed, I add product and swoop my hair upwards to obtain hair volume in the back...on the top of my head I can either where my hair somewhat spikey, have it come forward or go backwards.  Why I enjoy my short layered hair is because on those days when you don't want to be bothered at all styling your hair, I can just wash it and let it air dry and it still looks good due to the tons and tons of layers I have put into my hair.  Yet, when I feel like styling my hair, it's mainly to obtain volume and as I stated earlier I can style it in numerous ways.

My question is, since probably the longest hair I have is approx. 1 3/4 to 2 inches can I use the profector to just obtain the volume I want???  Is the barrel too large...would I require a 3/4 or 1/2 inch barrel which I see you don't make...actually too bad the profector didn't come w/changable barrels...just a thought.  I'd hate to purchase your product and have to waste the product by returning same since you probably disgard used and returned profectors.

Thank you!

I really like this product, but I would like to know how to clean it.   I do not wash my hair every day, and the hair spray over time builds up on the teeth, and I would like to know how to clean the it.   please answer.

Using my Perfector  pro grip without any problems for about a year and love it. Just yesterday without any warning a E1 began flashing on temperature screen. I do have minor heat. What's wrong?

I purchased my Calista Pro Styler about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. But last week when I plugged it in it started flashing the E1 message in the window.  I tried unplugging it and cleaning it but nothing I do seems to work.  It is no longer heating up.  What do I need to do to get it working again.  After just 6 months I wouldn't expect it to stop working.

Please let me know what I need to do.

Thank you,

Nanny Lee

Purchased the Calista Perfector and 'thought' it would be the quality that the sales verbiage represented as per the QVC TV presentation.  Quite an expensive item for the 'teeth' to break off of the product.....annnnnddddd - now it's flashing E1 which means it will not heat up anymore.  I've had $7.00 products that have lasted longer than this / again - out a LOT of money. NOT HAPPY!  Will try to call for some compensation........but, unlikely.

Advice before you purchase same?  NO ! I unwisely thought that since this item (at least for my pocketbook) was rather expensive - I lured myself into the "You get what you pay for" adage.  Again, not on this one.

Went to use my Calista this morning and received the E1 error and it will no longer heat up. Called QVC and was told to contact Calista on there website is says to contact the 3rd party that I bought it from so back to QVC....after a bit of go around and me explaining what the Calista website stated contact QVC. The rep then decided to send me an email with the return shipping label on it. Hopefully I will get a credit as I have only had it for 6 months....way to much money for a not so great Product....buyer beware on this one.

I usew the Perfector Pro Grip evryday and now I have a E1 message and it will not heat up.  What does that mean?

I sent one other one into the company and they never responded - I did as the instructins said for returing the device to the company. What is this all about?

So disappointed purshased the Calista perfecter and after a few months it stopped heating. In order to have it possibly repaired or replaced under the warranty the have to pay the shipping both ways, which is easily around $30.00! Ridiculous after paying for the item new! Maria Mccool needs to figure something out!

I have three of your products and like 2 of them very much. They are the round brush types in two different sizes as sometimes I let my hair grow a little longer. Other times it is quite short. The only thing I dislike about them is the heat setting. 395 degrees is just not hot enough for some of us. To make it work I have to hold it on there for a long time. Hotter irons I just curl and let go. Please consider making them with a higher temperature.
