Happy Valentine's Day & a Trip to Susan Graver's Studio

Hi!


Thursday is Valentine's Day, a day for us all to hopefully celebrate the love in our lives.


Cupid’s bow celebrates sweethearts and children and grandchildren and even our four legged family members give us indescribable love and love of our friends is cherished every day.


I have been blessed to have many cherished friends.


Susan and I have been spending every Thursday at 9am together for almost twenty three years. This past month I had a wonderful opportunity to spend the day with Susan and Leah at her NYC offices.


The creative process includes many key players.  Susan leads the team with many ideas, inspired by her frequent trips to Europe. Her manufacturer, MDL, helps bring those visions to life. During the visit, reviewed upcoming prints and learned about the laborious process of scaling them to size for XXS to 3X.


Leah and I saw the wall of Susan's famous buttons and trims.



We met the skilled pattern makers and seamstress' who create the first piece samples that are later approved by Susan, MDL and the buyers.




We learned about the huge job of cataloging and naming colors and keeping samples of every past TSV.




I will always love and respect Susan but to see her in her creative element was amazing!


Most of all I know that we both love and cherish your friendship and share the fun and love of her fashions!
