Global Jewelry Fest

by on ‎08-27-2008 11:29 AM

I just returned from overseas and it is great to be home. The trip was very productive and I will have much to report to you over the next few weeks. One of the first errands was a quick trip to the grocery store. I want to say a special hello to the beautiful lady that I spoke with in the bakery department aisle. She was wearing the fabulous Diamonique Maltese Cross Necklace from Joe Esposito and Judith Ripka's sterling Asscher cut dangle earrings. She was gorgeous and looked like a million dollars.

This week is one of my favorite events, Global Jewelry Fest, at QVC and one I am personally involved in. As you know, one of my passions is working with the cottage industries of artisans around the world on unique artisan crafted jewelry. Global was launched today with Adi Paz and will continue during the week with Taxco on Thursday, Indonesia and Silver Marketplace on Friday, and Southwestern on Saturday.

Please tune in for Carolyn Gracie and me on Friday, August 29 from 6:00-8:00 PM for Silver Marketplace. We are going to have many beautiful pieces and I am looking forward to sharing with you the stories behind each piece. There are several new, very special items that shouldn't be missed including a gorgeous malachite bead necklace, a beautiful pearl ring offered in a new rich peach color, a new pearl earring to match, and a sterling silver and brass tapered hoop that is high fashion. We will also have some favorite pieces that have taken many months to get back in stock including a choice of gemstone earrings, the high high polished and hammered link bracelet from Mexico, and one of my favorites, the gemstone swirl design pendant in choice of mother of pearl or abalone. Unfortunately, we don't offer a lot of abalone on QVC.

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day Weekend.

Take care, Peyton

PS: Thank you very much for linking me to the Judith Ripka Forum. I will be paying close attention to your comments and thoughts.
