Hello my LCNY fashionistas. I hope this official start of summer finds you well.

June 21st was very significant in the Davies household. Sarah and Bryan celebrated their second wedding anniversary....boy has time flown by, it truly is hard to believe. They have built a lovely life together and I am so proud of the young mature married couple they have become. Bryan is super handy and his favorite mother-in-law is enjoying the benefits of having him in the family.

This Sunday was also Father's Day, which is a difficult one in our house. My personality is to try and fix everything. It has been five years since Larry passed away and you name it, I have done everything to try and make the day easier on all of us and still honor and love my father who thankfully is still alive and well. This year I entered the weekend differently. I talked with each of my children to find out how they were and what I could do for them. You see as a single parent you wear the mom/dad hat a lot. Their response was.....Mom we are ok...you can't fix this one. Each of us has to handle the day in our own way. There is no bandaid for the pain or loss. So I sent them each a note...letting them know how proud of them I am and of where they are today.....but most of all on this day honoring and remembering Dads....I had the awesome privilege to be their fathers spokes person and to remind them that he is so proud of them and all of the decisions they have made.  Everything they have done this far he helped build the foundation as all of us know in our hearts.

So my lovely Sarah entertained her in laws for the day....Larry spent the day at the beach, Kevin and I were with my Dad, his POPPOP and my darling Meghan made an extraordinary dinner for her new husband of one year. Way to go my smart foursome. He sent you the sunshine for the day.
