I look forward to our annual Easter Craft project on AM Style. This year, we decorated Easter Baskets!
I knew I wanted “yellow” as the inspiration for my basket. A trip to the dollar store and I was set! I had seen tutu baskets on pinterest, so I decided to make my basket a yellow chick wearing a tutu!
I used a template that I found on-line to create my chick’s head and wings. As an added touch, I gave her eyelashes!
I looped 12” strips of tulle through the basket to create the tutu and added flowers and ribbon as embellishment. Then I cut out my chick’s face, wings and feet, and glued them to the decorated basket. Once she was done, I filled my chick basket with yellow grass, eggs, a chocolate bunny and other goodies.
My “Yellow Chick Easter Basket” turned out as cute as I had hoped. Now all she needs is a name -- what do you think I should call her?
I’m thinking Buttercup, or Banana Cream, or Daffodil, or Sunshine...
Happy Easter!
