Relocating to the north east after living in LA for 10 years, I knew I’d be a prime suspect for “the winter blues” once the holidays were over. And although we are having a milder winter this year, I plan a vacation every February to take me someplace warm and relaxing. This year, I decided to go back to Puerto Rico – a place I had visited several times in my early 20’s. It was an absolute dream vacation! From the location, hotel, food, and spa services – I couldn’t have asked for a better way to recharge my cold bones and stimulate my senses!! I know some of you who follow me on Facebook have seen some photos, but I hope you get the full experience of #mypuertorico below.
Right from the moment I got to the Ritz Dorado Reserve, I immediately felt my shoulders relax. From the welcome view, to my room, and the gorgeous ocean; there really wasn’t anything to worry about besides what to enjoy first!! I loved the way the property was nestled right next to the ocean and I got to see (and hear it) from my bedroom windows, and all of the lush foliage reminded me of how abundant a beautiful nature can be!
I got to enjoy days by the beach, fresh coconut water (right out of the coconut!!) and sight-seeing in Old San Juan too!!
But the best was my experience at the resort spa – Spa Botanico! Not only was it a beautiful sanctuary, but I received the most amazing Diamond Facial (yes with real diamond powder in their products!!) and learned some secret techniques from the aesthetician for keeping the skin fresh and youthful!! One easy tip we can all incorporate at home is to stimulate the skin with cold water baths, and pressure point massage. This brings blood circulation and a renewing glow to the skin! Check out this relaxing spa experience below.
Well, I hope you enjoyed going on vacation with me! Where should we go next!?!? Any suggestions? Type them below!
Looking forward to sharing more spa secrets and chatting more during my live shows on Beauty IQ.
