DESIGNER VS DIVA:  WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE ROMANTIC DETAIL??

Happy Valentine's Day, Denim Divas!! Since that day of hearts, flowers, candy and romance is just around the corner, Gary Goben and I have chosen two BRAND NEW Denim and Company tops, and we'd love to know, which of these do you like better, as far as their "romantic detail"?

One has a pretty flared sleeve and the other features a lovely cold shoulder detail with a rose print. Both are new and fresh for spring, and feature a softer, feminine look. Both come in pretty colors for the upcoming season, as well.

VOTE below for the one you prefer between the two, and as always, you are welcome to share your thoughts and comments about why you like one better than the other!

Both can be purchased now on QVC.com OR you can wait and see each one presented on our Tuesday, Denim and Company show on February 20th, which will be a 2-hour show, from 10am to Noon ET!

So, take a look at each top below and CAST YOUR VOTE for your favorite!

Hoping you have a very HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY filled with candy hearts and sweet surprises!

With love,

Carolyn, your fellow Denim Diva!

ITEM A:    A303103......Denim and Company Woven Button Front Flared Sleeve Shirt

D vs D Feb 2018 A303103 Carolyn (002).jpg

This pretty shirt has the updated sleeve detail that is so popular right now, in these lovely flared sleeves! It is a woven fabric blend of 90 percent polyester and 10 percent spandex. for lots of comfort and stretch. It features a button front, pointed collar, a box-pleated back yoke and a straight hemline. It is semi-fitted, to follow the lines of your body with wearing ease, never leaving you looking boxy or shapeless. It is easy care, machine wash and tumble dry and comes in a variety of fresh new colors. This shirt would look equally great with jeans, crop pants, or a skirt. You could easily wear this now or transition with it into the Spring season.

ITEM B:  A303132......Denim and Company Floral Print Cold Shoulder Round Neck Top

D vs D Feb 2018 A303132 Gary.jpg

The cold shoulder trend continues to be popular for the upcoming Spring season, and this new top features a lovely rose floral print as well! The print is exclusive to Denim and Company and gives this top a pretty, feminine feel. It also features a round neckline, short sleeves, and a straight hem. It is semi-fitted, to hug the curves of your body with added wearing ease. It is a knitted fabrication, in one of your favorite combinations....cotton, rayon and 5 percent spandex, which has a nice drape and is never clingy.  It is also easy care, machine wash and tumble dry. This top is also a terrific transitional top from now into Springtime and works well with jeans, trousers, crops or a skirt!

And, the winner is!

the flower one is the one i like best. I hate cold shoulder top looks like you are missing something.  Plus can you make jeans without the strech waist. I do not wear strech pants.

As a mature woman the cold shoulder top is not flattering on me! I really like the flared sleeve shirt!

As always thanks for bringing us such lovely clothing as I love Denim and Co. and have a closet full!

Carolyn you are the best!

Neither, just not liking all the bell sleeve novelty.  And I can't take the Cold Shoulder maybe cause I'm old. But  I love you, Carolyn.

I like the flowered one, but both are pretty...Carolyn, I love you and always watch shows when you are on....You and Gary together are a hoot....

I like the floral.  I can pop a jacket or sweater over it as well to change it up.  Love The Garilyn show!

They both are a no for me. The cold shoulder looks dated and the blouse is not something I would wear. JMO

I don’t like either one.  Those bell sleeves are too 1960 and don’t you think that awful cold shoulder idea has run its course?  I'm 69 but I don't want to look like an old lady so those florals like MY Grandma wore are definitely not something I want to wear.  Maybe smaller prints would be okay.  I do like V necks and 3/4 sleeves.  That peplum jacket you showed on 2/6/18 was cute and I would have bought it except I had to buy a new dryer last week!  I like your stripes and your french terry too.

Sorry, it is a "neither" for me also.  I like the floral print but I hate the cold shoulder and I can't wait for this trend to go away. I don't think it is flattering on anyone.  I do like the colors of the blouse and the sleeve detail is nice but I don't buy button blouses.

Neither- the one with the flowers is just too busy, and the other one is just too plain.

Neither

sorry but I dont like either one . The shirt looks frumpy . and the cold shoulder looks too young ,I hate spandex in tops too

Actually I dont like either of them, have never liked the cold shoulder and the other top is just too boring. I like D&C but not these.

Wow so many negative ladies.  I am sorry you don't like these options.  I think both options are lovely choices.  Personally I like the flare sleeve blouse.  But cold shoulder looks great on many others.  Keep up the great work Gary and Carolyn !!!!  You two are ahrd workers and fun and I appreciate you very much.  Happy Valentines Day !!

I vote for neither.  The "cold shoulder" style is not flattering on a lot of women including me.  I would never wear it.  The other shirt is pretty and I like the colors.  It is the fabrication that is the problem.  90% Polyester with 10% Spandex would be very hot in the summer and feel a bit rubbery.  I will stick with what I have.

Both of these are trendy, so I wouldn't buy them. I like solid colors better, so if I had to choose it would be the blouse. Bell sleeves get in my way when working, though. The floral would be better as a tank top to wear underneath something.

I don't like either one either.  Hate the cold shoulder look, agree it looks like something is missing and only for the very young and dont' like wide sleeves.  Sorry but do love most Denim and Co.clothes!

by

Neither.  I don't care for trendy cold shoulder tops, plus the floral looks "old lady" to me (andI think I am one!).  Not a fan of the bell sleeves on the solid colored shirt.

I really like the flower one but not the cold shoulder part as II don't think cold shoulder is for my age. The blouse is just another blouse. I will not buy either one. Although I love to watch when you all are on and I love Denim & Co.

I do not .like either

by

I do not like either. Denim and Co leaves a lot to be desired.

by
on ‎02-07-2018 12:30 PM

Neither top interests me at all.  I like cold shoulder tops very much, but this one is much too busy with the florals.  The button down blouse is very frumpy.  But if I choose one over the other, I have to definitely choose the cold shoulder top.

I like the solid shirt best; I would wear it and not feel frumpy at all!  We all like different things, so it is nice to have options.  Gary, I don't do Facebook, so I hope you see this...will you please go back to D & C's "How Timeless" denim fabric and make more colored denim with this fabric,  Jeans, with pockets and a slight bootcut.   Thank you for considering this!

I don't really like either of these choices.  I think the cold-shoulder look has about run its course. The sleeves on the solid colored top make it hard to eat or work at my desk.  These looks are both too trendy and will look dated very quickly! I like SMALL scale prints on pastel colored tops for spring.  AND, I would love to see more elbow sleeve tops.

As someone who usually votes for neither, I'm surprised that I actually like both of these.  I voted for the bell sleeve top today because lately I have been enjoying wearing a button shirt with the front tucked in and the back left untucked.  I like that the bell sleeve is a 3/4 length so it doesn't get dragged into everything.  I do also like the cold shoulder top, but I don't love the print.  Not a big fan of roses.

by

Sorry, but I also don't care for either of them.

by
on ‎02-09-2018 06:42 PM

I'm not a fan of either style.  I prefer a tunic with no cold shoulder.

I vote for the Flared Sleeve Shirt.  Love it!❤️

by
on ‎02-11-2018 01:46 PM

Neither.  The flared sleeve is too plain and boring, and the cold shoulder is way too busy, and worse it is cold shoulder, a style which I have never liked!
