Yield: 12 Donuts

Ingredients:

For the Donuts:

30 marshmallows, standard size

1 tbsp (14 g) unsalted butter

1 tbsp (14 g) heavy cream

5 cups (107 g) rice cereal

For the Glaze:

1/4 cup (45 g) milk chocolate chips

3 to 4 tbsp (45 to 60 ml) heavy cream

1 tbsp (15 ml) coconut oil

Sprinkles for garnish

Preparation

For the donuts:

1.) In a medium-size sauce pan, combine the marshmallows and butter. Cook over medium heat until completely melted.

2.) In a large bowl, add the rice cereal, pour the marshmallows over the cereal, and mix until combined. It will help if you spray the spatula with cooking spray.

3.) Allow marshmallow treat mixture to sit for 5 minutes to cool.

4.) Spray the base of a 6-cavity donut pan with cooking spray. Divide the mixture into 12 donuts.

5.) Take a handful of the marshmallow treat mixture and press it into the cavity of the donut pan. Spray your hands with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Repeat until all cavities are filled. Allow donuts to sit for 10 minutes before removing from pan and allow to sit for 30 minutes before frosting them.

For the glaze:

1.) Bowl a pot of water. Place a heat-safe bowl over the pot of water. Combine chocolate chips, coconut oil and heavy cream in the bowl. Stir until smooth. Carefully remove bowl of glaze from heat before frosting.

2.) Dip the top of each donut in the chocolate glaze, tapping off any extra.

3.) Garnish with sprinkles or your favorite candy

Enjoy,
