Christmas Memories on Valentine's Day

It’s hard to believe that January 2017 is already behind us!! We’re 1/12th of the year down, and I feel like Christmas just happened.

Last Christmas was a whirlwind. I went back to Northern California for the weekend, about 50 hours, but they were the important ones. We pack a lot in to the holiday, and frankly it’s one tradition after the other. Here goes!

On December 24th we’re all still wrapping presents and the tree gets filled pretty quickly from there.

We are a big group so we spend lots of time cooking (and eating, and cleaning up)

It’s the one time of year that I get to see all of the men in my family at once….my brother, my dad, and my two nephews

On Christmas eve we all “ooh and ahhh” over “Santa’s Runway” out on the sidewalk.

My nieces and nephews open their matching pajamas. “This is the LAST year,” says my oldest nephew!!

My dad reads ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. This year he did so in some kind of funny accent, which made us all laugh.

During the holiday we all find ourselves hugging one another… a lot.  This is my sister and my niece.

Opening presents on Christmas day is electric! My two nephews were super excited about their drones, which they promptly put together and started flying.

My nieces got Amazon Echo Dots, and we all sat around playing 20 questions with the Dots.  But during a brief intermission, everyone pulled out a book.

We’re a big musical family and both my sister and my mom, and my dad, gave songs as gifts this year.

It was fast, but it was soooo worth it. Before I left I had to take a pic of the original Boesing bunch.

Only 11 more months until we do it all again!

Best,
