Hello, foodies…

I’m home! The In the Kitchen with David(R) crew left Chapel Hill, North Carolina early this morning and I’m sitting at my kitchen table reminiscing about our time there…what a WONDERFUL trip. On Tuesday, we did a culinary tour of North Carolina, visiting Time-Out, Mama Dips, and Venable restaurant!

No, that's not my restaurant. Just a delicous coincidence. But afterwards, of course we took time to tour the town and my alma mater…UNC Chapel Hill.

Next we stopped by Hope Gardens, a non-profit urban farm-community garden serving the Chapel Hill-Carrboro area. And it’s run entirely by UNC Chapel Hill Students.

On behalf of QVC, I was thrilled to present Mary a generous donation to HOPE gardens on Wednesday night during the show. I’m so proud of the students involved with that initiative and the support the community is putting behind it.

And finally on Tuesday evening—I know, it was a busy day!—I went to The Root Cellar for a meet-and-greet.
