Update about my Sachi Commercial! In case you missed it, here it is
!!!
This is just one of my daily helpers! You can get one here >> SACHI ORGANIZER
I'm not one of those people who finds her worth in being busy. I don't thrive on getting only four hours of sleep and being fueled by caffeine and quick conversations (although I secretly kind of envy those people). I'd never survive a high powered job. I truly have to have eight hours of sleep, and nine is even better. That being said, I am a busy girl.
I like to be moving and doing. I don't just sit and relax well, unless it's on a beach or on a boat. You will notice I walk a ton! I park my car and literally walk my errands around town. Living in a walking town is the best and totally makes it work. So many of you ask how I keep my energy up and I think it has a ton to do with sleep and exercise, which are two things I really don't skimp on in my daily routine.
The rest of my hours revolve around faith and family, the two most important things in my life. No two days are ever alike with this QVC job. My hours are all over the place and weekends don't really exist. Saturdays I'm at the Q all day long and most Sundays too, so I chose an average mid-week day to jot down how I spent my hours. It's a good task, if you really look back on any given 24 hour period it might shed some light on how blessed you are. And yes, I'm truly blessed, even if this day included neither a beach nor a boat.
So here we go:
5:25am - Workout. Most days I’m up before the kiddos to get in at least 30 minutes of rigorous exercise. On my days off, or when its warmer I’ll wait until after the girls are at school and go walk for 60-90 minutes. Today it was 30 minutes of Insanity by Beach Body.
6:00am (ish) - Devotional time, shower, Coffee, start load of laundry, clean kitchen etc...
6:45am - Kids up and making breakfast and lunches, doing their hair and getting them to school.
8am - Hair & Makeup at work, followed by my pre-show meetings, including one with my Social Partner and awesome chick - Reba.
{Mary & Me goofing around}
{My social partner, Reba!}
11am- On the air! I’m usually on anywhere from 1-4 hours. Today I was on with Rachel, so fun!!! Some days I can be at the Q for eight hours at a time, for on air work, as well as meetings. But today was a short day.
1:15pm - Quick change into my regular clothing; in this case my fave Halston Sweater, marvelous scarf and Aimee Kestenberg bag, and dash!
1:25pm - Need Gas
1:30 pm Over to the girls school to volunteer for recess help for Grace and Georgia.
2:30 - Walk down the street to catch coffee with one of my closest girlfriends. We make sure we get coffee once a week. It keeps us sane.
3:00pm - Walk back to the girl’s school to pick them up.
3:15pm - We all walk down to the edge of town to drop off some gently used clothes at Salvation Army that I've been carrying around in the back of my car for too long.
3:40pm - Walk back to the car and were on our way home!
3:50pm - Girls get a little break to play while I continue to do laundry and clean the house including the downstairs bathroom that caught my eye and needed a cleaning, bad!
4:30pm - Homework time! Who knew Kindergarten homework was sooooo crazy?
5:15pm - Dinner time- We always, always, always sit down at the dining room table for dinner together. Dad made lettuce wrap "Tacos." We love Mexican food in our house and we found this is a great way to make it a little healthier, and the girls love it!!! We pile organic ground turkey, black beans and I’m doing a few weeks without the cheese but the rest of the family loads it up. My favorite ingredients are the spicy yogurt dip and Hanks Cilantro sauce on top, yum!
6:00pm - Get bags packed for the girls for school the next day, prep my own bags for work or whatever the day hold, set out my workout clothes, do one more load of laundry. Text with my best friend though usually by this time we have been in contact a few times already.
6:30pm NBC nightly news. It’s our favorite, and our only appointment TV we watch. We love Lester but really loved Brian Williams, it’s on my bucket list to meet him.
The Girls get screen time in a different room, usually something with fairies on Netflix. This is also around the time our big Gourdie gets to come up on the couch and cuddle with us.
7:00pm - Cuddle time with the girls. Sometimes we will watch something on the big TV together (we only have one TV in the house) or we will read books or games.
7:30pm – Bedtime: teeth, hair, read book, say prayers and pray the kiddos stay in bed. Our goal is bedtime by 7:30 but were lucky if it’s 8.
8:00pm - More laundry and cleaning, sometimes I get to watch a half hour or so of TV with the hubby, or do a puzzle for a while but usually by 9 or 9:30 all I want is bed.
Bedtime - I always list the five things I'm grateful for from the day in my gratitude journal and then pray I can get to sleep and not have my head go a million miles an hour worrying about all the things that are going on. I read for anywhere from five to thirty minutes and I’m out!!
Oh and by the way, I keep track of all of this in a good old handwritten planner. This one is called the Purposeful planner and it has inspirational quotes on it that I love.
I’d love to have you join me on Facebook to see more about my day to day crazy, yet blessed life.
Here are some things that make my life a little bit easier sometimes and what I'm wearing in some of these pics >> http://qvc.co/MyLifeCollection (if you're curious) ![]()
