Try the cucumber aloe or the bamboo green tea--both formulas are lighter than the others. I had issues with my hair being oily at first and 2 things made a huge difference in how my hair looked. First, make sure your hair is thoroughly wet before using the CC, then add a few splashes of water to help distribute it through you hair and then use a wide tooth comb. Leave it on for a few minutes and then rinse, rinse, rinse. It's different than regular shampoo, so you need to use it differently. All in all, I don't spend any more time than I would using a shampoo and separate conditioner and I wouldn't use anything else on my hair.

But it should not have to be such an ordeal. We should not need to leave a product in our hair forever and rinse till the cows come home.

It's hardly an ordeal nor do I leave it in my hair forever. It's not rocket science, I just do some things differently. If you actually read what I wrote, you would see that I said I don't spend anymore time on my hair than I did with regular shampoo and conditioner.
