Re: there's nothing like seeing a photo of yourself for a reality check

I've been depressed about how I look ever since my grandchildren started face timing with me. SCARY. I try not to look down, but it's a lost cause. But I get over it when they start talking.

I cringe too when I see photos of myself !What is sad it that I thought I looked pretty good that day.There was a joke on pinterest about my camera and my mirror having a different opinion on what I look like.

My depressing moment came when I realized I looked more like my Boxer "son" than I did my beautiful daughter.{#emotions_dlg.scared}

Loove that Boxer and the pic!

Is this your Boxer son? Really?

How old is he?

*Me, too! That whole body wiggle that starts with her tushie, then follows with her head for emphasis! I've never seen a dog do that, LOL.

*Nope, she/he is not my Boxer baby, but Preddy has one named "Buster' with similar coloring. Figured she'd get kick as I made my point. Smiley Wink

*This puppy's definitely just a few months old, max.

I got a kick out of it!

I had an uncle who had four of those and every single one of them were comedians.

*{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

*Oh, wow! Yep, most Boxers are funny, enthusiastic, and very energetic. Smiley Wink Plus, they're one of the best breeds for families. 8)

Do you have a Boxer? I'm wondering how much they weigh when full grown. Mt uncle told me his four were very stubborn, so that breed might not be a good match for me. I've never been called a push over. LOL

Feline ... loved your boxer pic. Yep, Buster is crazy like that. SFC ... our first boxer (Busters dad) was almost 100 lbs. and solid as a rock. Buster is around 80lbs. of full energy. His mom is a little petite 50lbs or so. Stubborn? Haven't noticed that. FULL of Silliness ... much of that! {#emotions_dlg.laugh} They will knock you down (by accident) when they get excited. They need a lot of play time and running room. Loveable? Nothing but big lap dogs ... which gets very hard sometimes ... Buster tends to mash me every chance he gets. He thinks my lap is his property.

Fate whispers to her, "You cannot withstand the storm." She whispers back, "I am the storm."

PREDS,

I would not want to handle a 50 pound dog, because of our small yard. Silliness, yes.

My DH is disabled and putting up with another silly one, I don't know. I can wish and enjoy from a distance. I always enjoyed my uncle's four that he had. All of his were black/white.
