I've never seen a tattoo that I thought enhanced the person sporting it. So it wouldn't tempt me to buy a cosmetic brand that used models with tattoos to present their wares.

The tattoo doesn't come with the beauty product and has no bearing on my decisions.

It may not matter to you, but it makes a huge difference to me. I don't like tattoos, and I would not buy a product that was being promoted with or by someone who has one. Sorry. I know lots of you think they are wonderful - to me they make a woman look cheap

I have a very pretty niece who is named after me, whom I have seen crying her eyes out over and over because she got several large ones on her arms, and they can't be hidden. She hates them now, but is afraid to go through the discomfort (and she says the possible disfigurement) of having them removed. Plus it is very costly. I've offered to help her financially, but she says she made the mistake and she wants to do this on her own. I can respect her for that, but I don't like those tattoos.

No doubt. Half the time I don't even notice things like that. A person is not "bad" because they have tattoos. Most of the people I know have tattoos and they are some of the nicest, most loyal, most generous, kind and caring people I know. To judge someone based on having a tattoo or dying their hair purple or whatever is just so shallow. It is sad too because you would miss out on some wonderful relationships with people just because you judge them on silly things like that.

Personally, I do not have tattoos but what others do to their body is their decision and has no impact on anything I may or may not do, including buying makeup from lines that show tattooed models. I only care if the makeup would work for me and their customer service stands behind their products.

They look plain without them. I'd like to see more models with tattoos. De plain. De plain.

Re: tatoos on a makeup model

I don't have a tattoo though I wanted a small one for years but the viewpoint about the tattoo and those who sport them was not complimentary at the time plus I am pretty much a coward. However, today, they are acceptable and fashionable and I am not judgmental about people who have them. I think some women have ruined their beautiful skin and appearance by overdoing it and covering their entire bodies and I often think what will that look like when they start aging but it is their body....I don't like to see brides with tattoos but they can be covered by airbrushing with a particular makeup so says my cousin's daughter who is a bridal consultant who does makeup and hair. As far as a model with a tattoo selling makeup, it has no bearing on my decision and I don't frown on her because of her choice to do so.

The model you may have seen with tats is Jackie the dark haired young woman who models and sometimes reps for IT cosmetics. I personally don't think tats are attractive on any one, but what ever floats your boat.
