I think EVINE puts a lot of pressure on Dimitri to bring new cutting edge products (the changes to Stem Regen Elite for example). This past visit, he launched three new products in one of his TTV's. I have also noticed that they are increasing the days for his visits. This along with increased TTV and shipping charges have not been well received. Bottom line, he is a huge money maker for them and they are milking the cow. Unfortunately, EVINE is oblivious to how some of these changes have turned off some customers.

I think this is true.

But to the OP's question, while some prices have gone up, and shipping isn't always discounted, overall I think his kits are quite affordable, especially in comparison to what is offered on QVC or in Department stores. You can still get kits with 5-8 pieces every time he is on for $50-60. Even if you bought 2 kits a month, you are looking at 10-15 products for $100-$120 (I don't get the math that comes to $400/month). Even if you don't like or use ALL those products that seems more than reasonable to me. Now, if you are looking to buy every product individually, that is another matter, but why would anyone do that when he offers so many kits and deals?

Aside from pricing, is Dimitri a good marketer and salesman? Clearly yes. But I too laugh when he suggests buying 5-6 of anything. It's ridiculous (and greedy) to even suggest and I can't imagine who would buy all that!! You really love the products in the kit and you want it to hold you until next time he offers that (which probably won't be more than 6 months), maybe you pick up 2 (or at most 3 - after all they remind us all the time it has a 2 year shelf life!). Since most of these products last for a few months (some last me way more) that seems more than sufficient.

But we don't always buy based on need. And Dimitri can be very convincing. We all probably have stashes of beauty products from assorted kits we've gotten. I know I do! But hey, this is also part of my fun in trying new things. Eventually you learn what you like and what you don't (and you can always return what you don't). I agree that Evine is pushing both Skinn and Isomers to keep churning out new products that all sound like the latest and greatest and this is just an effort to increase sales. I'm sure that will definitely appeal to a certain amount of people, but at some point we do have to use what we already have.

So...be a discerning consumer and if it's within your budget and it brings you pleasure, then enjoy!!!

Re: skinn is getting expensive

I do like and use a few of his products but one thing thing that has made me question his credability is when he uses products on one side of the model,then when hes showing the results he appears to purposly push the side with no product on it downward and the side with product on it he pulls it upward,also after a dermapeel demo on one side of the models face he shows how much better the product is absorbed on the peeled side compared to the untreated side but hes using a totally different way of rubbing the product in on either side.anyone else noticed this....not bashing here,just observing

Me too. I'm using up the last order of Stem Rejen Elite and not sure I will reorder. I mostyly do use another line of products but like to supplement with the Rejen Face and Eye for hydration not provided with my treatment products. Like many of you, I also preferred the old Stem Rejen products and the old 24 Hr. Cream. Too bad they were changed. Still love the Hand Restore but not thrilled with 6.99 shipping this time. In any case, the shows are not over yet, and I do enjoy watching Dimitri. Watching him is one of my guilty pleasures.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

I sort of got ticked off when I had just ordered & was using the previous Stem Regen for face, eyes,& neck.

THEN he comes out with the "Have to Have It" Stem Regen Elite almost saying that anything else will not provide the same fabulous results. A woman called in & asked him how to include the first Stem Regen, and he said with a flip of his wrist "Oh, just use it up" like it was left-overs.

I love the guy...but that took a bite out of me.
