How do you feel about chemical sunscreen?  I am so tired of the white cast and greasy feeling of mineral sunscreen. I purchased Beekman's sunscreen not realizing it was chemical. It's very nice. No white cast and feels like velvet. Foundation looks great with it.

I wont use a chemical one on my face. I found one I love all mineral SPF 30

Andalou Roses Tinted CC Cream, no white cast. the rose smell dissapates quickly.  I use Sheer Tan, it runs light. All zinc oxide, no titanium oxide.  If i use it full face, I rarely add foundation.

Chemical sunscreen is all I use b/c of the same reason you stated...there's no white cast. As long as you have no problems using it, for instance sensitivity or allergy, then go for it.

Just be sure and apply it first on clean skin, let it dry down and then apply the rest of your products. Wait 15 minutes after applying the sunscreen before going out under the sun. That's very important to do.

I can't use chemical at all. Burns my eyes if it's anywhere close to my eyes.

Thankfully I have no allergic symptoms so I continue to use it only on my face. I just bought the new elf mineral spf 50 tint. I haven't used it yet.

I use Neutrogena spf 60 with vitamin E...its chemical and its one of nicest sunscreens I've used, and doesn't break the bank.  I apply it over my skincare, and I've had no issues with sun damage...I rather my skincare absorb,  I need it, lol.

For body ill use either Water babies, or one I found in Walmart brand, spf 100...then I use a very light dusting of baby powder to cut the greasy feel.

I recently bought Hawaiian Tropic spf 30

face powder...I apply as a last step...its very nice.

Most derms recommend the straight mineral spf, so I guess if you find one you like, go for it.

I'm not sure if it's as effective as the chemical...they absorb differently, and once I got spots on my face using using the mineral.

The reason why chemical ss needs to be applied directly on clean skin, as you would do with serum, is b/c the chemical(s) need to absorb into the skin where it binds below the surface of the skin with skin proteins which then turns the chemical ss into a protective layer. If the chemical ss is sitting on top of the skin then the UV light destroys the SPF and you end up with a SPF which is much lower than stated on the bottle.

one of the best IMO is Suoer Goop.  They are rated extremely high.  Safe, safe, safe.  No, I wouldn't use a chemical sunscreen, and even though I have sort of fair skin I only use sunscreen on my face, neck and arms.  I use suoer good Glo Screen ringed on face, I also use PLAY.  My adult granddaughters slather the Play all over.  And their husbands love the clear one.  I can assure you, you will not see a film after applying. You can buy it anywhere, but I seem to load up at nordies when I place order.  No shipping
