Re: "Overcoming Your Fear of Makeup; Part 1"

@Franklinbell   Not sure I answered this question yesterday:

I do watch most of the derms like Dr. Idress. For makeup I like Nikki La Rose, Lisa J (both started as MAC teachers), Tamara's Ageless Beauty, Tammy something, but now she's all about her weight loss. I used to watch Michele Wong but now she's too full of herself with 1st class trips and high end spending since she lives in Vegas and always purchasing Chanel, Fendi, Gucci like it was candy. Risa Does Makeup...I do try to stay within 10-15 yrs. of my age group. Infinite garden (grey curly hair woman) and Beyond50Skin.

I do watch a lot of art making videos and take online classes for inspiration.

@Natureluvr  I don't put any moisturizer on the lids. I'm afraid of it melting into my eyes (especially if used before bedtime). I do apply it below the lids.

@JustJazzmom   I do apply my night eye cream under my brows. Just enough seems to migrate downward to the lids especially since I do skincare way before bedtime. Look for a cream that says "opthamologist tested or approved".

Oh I thought that was a picture of @prettygurl.  Bless her heart, she needs a lot of help both inside and out. Or at least change her user name.

@monicakm   Not nice. Just let it go.

One thing I really have trouble with is prepping my eyelids. They are wrinkly and when I apply concealer, it always looks worse. It kind of slips over the wrinkles and when I try to blend, the thin skin “pulls.”

My question is… do any of you apply moisturizer to your eyelids or just around your eyes? I’m wondering if that may help but am concerned about putting anything so close to my eyes.

@Natureluvr   I also have somewhat wrinkly eyelids. I never put concealer on my eyelids (or anywhere, for that matter). I do use eyeshadow primer, though. It does brighten the area a bit, and keeps my eyeshadow in place.

Moisturizer goes all over my face (including eyelids), neck and down on my chest. I don't use separate eye or neck creams. Nor do I use  any serums, oils, etc...just moisturizer applied to wet skin (I spray with WEN Replenishing Treatment Mist before applying moisurizer). However, my skin still tends toward oily.

I also use the Mist after makeup application as a setting spray.

Love that story.
