Which beauty brands are being referrd to here Q as "house brands? I understand that refers to cosmetic lines that QVC owns.  Curious as to which ones. I am definitely out of the loop.

@acatgirl

I would bet that Doll 10 is one.

Tova might be another.

I’m guessing Philosophy and IT, Mally, Krystopher Buckle.

I have never thought of which might be actually OWNED by QVC.

@acatgirlThe term house brand used in retail terms generally refers to brands sold by a retailer which are made for that retailer, and cannot be purchased elsewhere.   Philosophy, Bare Minerals, and Mally are not owned by QVC.  In recent years each of them have been involved in the founder selling out to mega international cosmetic companies, with the sales being reported in mainstream business news. Kristopher Buckle's QVC line is stated to be made for and exclusive to QVC on Buckle's own social media and website, but he sells some products at Costco. I don't have a source to help me out with that one. For sure I believe Doll 10 and Illustra (the hair tools) are QVC's, and no, I don't believe that along with Buckle, those are the only three which have ties to QVC that go beyond being just a brand they sell.

Re: "House Brand?"

[ Edited ]

Philophosy is owned by Coty

It Cosmetics is owned by Loreal

Mally is owned by Beauty Visions LLC

Doll 10 is owend by Doris Dalton as far as I can see. She changed the name to Doll 10 when she started selling QVC/UK

There is already a company Named Dalton something so she had to change the name.

Looks like Kristofer Buckle owns his own line. He makes a line to sell at QVC (article about it on Allure) & sells a line at Costco (article about it at Stylecaster.

Tova--By 1987, she had 65 skincare products and 80 employees. In 1990, she began selling her wares on QVC, and 12 years later QVC bought the Tova brand for a seven-figure sum. Tova Signature is QVC’s top-selling perfume.

@acatgirl  I have heard vendors who sell elsewhere say they certain kits, configurations, shades or products are exclusive to QVC. That’s completely different.

To go along with this - I've heard hosts say many times "exclusive to QVC until summer," or something like that. As @Shanus says, they make up "kits" that can't be found anywhere else. Or they will bring out a product in a TSV that you won't be able to find in stores for a few months or so. IT is famous for doing that. Smiley Happy

That’s when her Tova Signature fragrance formula changed & has never been the same IMHO.  I used to love it.
