I can't disagree with you. I love the scents as they come out of the bottle but they have ZERO staying power. Even when layered with body lotion and spritz. I never had any luck with any Philosophy scents, even their EDP. I cannot justify paying those prices for a product that doesn't perform. I did not find it did anything for my skin either. I have better results on my body skin using Cetaphil nonsoap soap and their wonderfully thick body cream (the one in the jar, not the bottle). Then if I want to smell good, I use my perfume.

the lotions definitely have no scent, but the perfume does. i use pure grace and summer grace, and even when i wash my arm, the scent takes a while to disappear. summer is my current favorite.

I completely agree with all your comments. I'm new to Pilosophy and have to say, not impressed at all! I ordered the "falling in love" scent shower/body wash and scrub, lotion and EDP. The scent is ok, a bit musky for my taste but it's nice. The lotion and body wash have almost no scent at all and the EDP has absolutely no staying power. The scent was completely gone within minutes, I used it several times but it fell short. This is going back unfortunately.

Totally agree with everyone. The company went down hill after it was sold. I guess they are trying to make a profit by cutting corners.

I have used Philosophy products for over 15 years. In my opinion, the fragrances have not ever lasted beyond a few minutes. I remember about 13 years ago when I first bought a Pure Grace spray fragrance, and it was delivered to my work place. We sprayed it and commented on how nice it smelled, but the others said the fragrance is gone almost as soon as you are spraying it. I also remember when the Falling In Love lotion was first introduced, it arrived, and I kept wondering where the scent was. I called Philosophy, and they assured me the scent was there, but was meant to be "light.". I told them they needed to send me a sample of the fragrance so I could add it to the lotion. They advised me not to do that. I can smell the scent in the current FIL products, but it does not last very long.

Bottom line, I cannot see a big change in yesteryears verses the current Philosophy. Once exception would be that the 3 in 1's are not offered in the cute sets, and the variety is no longer offered.

It does seem that Philosophy has cut back on the selection of shower gels. Years ago they had many sets as TSVs and they had shower gels for fall, summer, Christmas, etc. I still like their shower gels, but as far as AG, FIL. etc. I do think the scents are very faint now. It's like everything is "watered down."

I remember years ago watching the Phil shower gels on Q and the rep said the scents do not last outside the shower. Specifically you do not walk around smelling like a red licorice whip. You enjoy the smell in the shower and that's it
