Sorry for the o/t, but I used received great info about selling gold jewelry on this forum.
I have a slightly larger than 1 carat pear shaped diamond ring that my father bought my mother in the 1970's. Both of my parents are now gone. My mother never wore it and I'm probably never going to wear it myself. It was in a very modern setting and my mother changed it after my father died and she still never wore it. Now, it's in a white gold engagement style setting (baguettes on either side).
I'm thinking of selling it and was wondering if any of you have gone through the process. I was thinking of going to a local jewelry store. Were you happy w/ your transactions?
