Actually I am not sure why she said none of her friends offered her any help- the girl at work did and the friend from Florida offered to send her some money. That sounds like help from friends?

Wow, I don't think that deserved a snotty answer- I think the poster was legitimately wondering if you asked because some people don't like to ask for help when they need it.

First of all I am under lot of stress so I do apologize to that person even tho i thought it was a rude question. Why would I not have asked for help? And why are you harassing me? Do you enjoy hurting people when you hear they are going threw hard times? You are a truly awful person.

I think everyone on this thread has tried to be kind and understanding. Perhaps you are not familiar with this type of behavior which may be confusing to you.

Perhaps your insurance company didn't advise you but you should have coverage for a rental car for specific reasons like this. It can be $25 dollars a day and most rental car companies would work with you and your insurance company.

I know this to be true because someone went through a red light and totaled my car a few years ago. I had rental car insurance and used it. Perhaps you need to speak with your insurance company. Usually, there is a 24hour number you can call for this information.

Often, we rely on spouses, children or siblings for assistance in the matter. At least, I would.

I wouldn't give an internet "acquaintance my banking information" but then I wouldn't offer an internet "acquaintance" money.

I, as I am sure everyone else, hope that you can get your personal situation resolved. As a suggestion, try to be pleasant to the insurance company and the repair station. If you are pleasant to others, then will reciprocate.

We don't have rental insurance, and we have uninsured, comprehensive and many perks.I do not know why. I have only been in one accident, and it was their fault. Their insurance paid though. Boy, were they miffed too (their insurance co) because we needed the rental for over 30 days. There was 6,000 dollars damage from glass shards, as well and the "crunches". They had to ay for a full size suburban, because that is what I have and I picked up 5 grands at the time. It was like 500 plus a week! This was 11 years ago.

We have 2 harleys and 3 cars. I have to check on rental insurance.

Exactly. These are forums, not a way for people to have private conversations. And it seems to me that every person who posted & commented were truly caring and trying to help.

I saw no hurting or harrassing, and I don't think anyone here deserves to be called "a truly awful person". Yes, I understand being under stress, but there's no need to lash out at people who are reaching out and being kind.

Can't the friend in Florida send money overnight? Just a suggestion.

It's just my own personal observation, but it appears to me that in one of her latest comments, she might have been addressing the unhelpful and hurtful comment about the hair products that was made to her.

I am truly sorry that this accident happened to you, too, kcladyz. I hope that it resolves really soon for you.
