haircolor question from a dumb dumb.....

I need some haircolor advice. I have been dying my hair(stupidly) over the summer from a med brown to now what is a light blonde with brown streaks. I want to get it back to a light to med brown, but am not sure how to go about doing it. I know i can't just buy a box of brown color because it will turn out black from being damaged.

My question is should i get a temporary color to put over the blonde? If so, what color? Any professional help would be appreciated!
