straight, short hair, flat iron.  What is your choice?

Either one of these.  The Paul Mitchell can be bought online about anywhere, and the Beyond the Zone is available at Sally's Beauty Supply.

Re: hair protectant

[ Edited ]

I've been using Tresemme heat protectant spray for many years. I've used it when my hair was super short, long, and everything in between. I've used it before blow drying and styling with curling irons, heated brushes, and flat irons.  Works for me.

I don't know if either of these is a heat protectant because I seldom use heat on my hair. Sorry no pictures. Can't get them to load.

@wilma I like the Tresemme spray, too. Don't use it much anymore since I got a short cut, and rarely even blow dry it, but it does work. Good price, too!

Does the Tresemme have any hold? I find some heat protectant sprays are more like hairspray and can be stiff and sticky. I am looking for one that has no hold.

@Natureluvr

It doesn't have any hold.

@Nonametoday   I've been using Pureology Color Fanatic 21 Essential Benefits. It's a leave-in spray w/o hold, heat protection, too. I don't color my hair, but it's short now and the product gives shine, easy combing out of the shower and the blow dryer w/ brush goes through easily. My stylist has been using it and recommended it. IMG_4136.jpeg

@Natureluvr IMO, the Tresemme had no hold...I still had to use gel or hairspray for hold.
