This time it isn't a new consistency, a new delivery device, it's , as the OP stated, another formula. So soon after the last be-all-end-all foundation it really does seem like money grubbing rather than ground breaking development.
I wish whe would pretend to want to include foundations beyond dark tan in her original formula(s)s

I was just going to start a new post but I saw this one! I too am confused as I have the Celebration, the CC cream, the Illumination, the 50 sunscreen compact. In the compact , I mix medium and tan to get the right color. I was going to order the one featured yesterday and today but it's too $$. Wish they would come out with more cream blushes in addition to the only one they have

I'm as frustrated as the rest of you. I know Jamie wants to create "something for everyone" so she has a corner on the market. Her job is to increase sales and broaden her consumers. That is her job.
But all of these foundations are confusing. I end up buying each new one to see if it is better, but I don't have the previous one to compare it to so I don't know what is best. I return what I think I don't want or isn't the best because I can not afford to keep them all. So I don't have the previous to compare to the new product. Then another comes out, grrrrrr !
What to do if you haven't figured out your Holy Grail product yet? All of the buying, S&H, and returining gets so expensive and ties up your money for a couple of months until they refund you for what you have returned.
I wish she would make a "sample" box of small amounts of foundation, like the beauty boxes of all mascara or all lipsticks, so I could sample, compaire and make a decision. Seems like this would improve and not deter sales.
I wish all perfumes would come in minute sample sizes in one box as well. Or at least in sample sizes and not make you buy and return a larger "designer brand" size.
It gets extremely expensive and terribly frustrating, and I end up doing wothout and not buying a vendor's product at all. Like Philosophy. Just too much to keep up with.

Gosh I never thought she had so many- I thought her only foundations were the celebration foundation and the illuminating one and then a BB (or is it CC) cream? With this new one, isn't that only two powders and then two cream types, Does she have more? I don't know of one line that has only one or two foundations. Even bare minerals now has at least four different ones.

@HappyDaze She has the two kinds of Celebration Foundation (original and illuminating) the original CC+ Cream, an illuminating CC, a liquid/serum type, a cushion type, and a new full covereage cream type. The only kind I think she doesn't have is a stick.

These "Cushion compact applicators" are the new HOT item coming out of Korea/Japan. And she seems very on-point listening to what is happening there, I wonder if her formulation team is based out of Korea or have a similar connection, because I THINK she was one of the first to incorporate the snail secretion to such a large amount in her CC Tube 50+ cream. Except to see a huge wave of everyone doing these cushion applications.
Also, this product does not seem to contain snail secretion and is instead silicone based. I remember a lot of people being turned off by the snail secretion in the tube formulation, so maybe this was a concern for the company (??)
It is confusing, and I agree we need more colors in the foundations!
Question: Do people like to use a cream based brush with this/and/or the tube CC foundation? Or do you prefer a powder? Which do you think applies best or lasts longest? I occasionally use a little powder blush but was thinking of getting her cream blush, that pretty pink one called something like CC Vitality. (Her product names are long! We need shortcuts!)

@JeanLouiseFinch wrote:IMO, the various cosmetic companies are just trying to accommodate their customers (or potential customers). Some people like a stick foundation, some like a liquid, others like a cream from a tube, and still others like a cushion delivery system. I don't fault the companies at all for expanding their product lines in order to appeal to the masses. That's what good, profitable businesses do. It's up to the consumer to do their research and know what they're buying.
ITA! They have to come out with new products just like every other company and I'm not just talking about make up. If they don't come out with new and different products the competition will eat them up.

Hm yeah I don't think that is too many considering they all provide something different. Some people like powder foundations and want it more matte finish. Others want a powder foundation but need more illumination. Some prefer cream foundations with more heavy coverage, some prefer less coverage. And yet others prefer a liquid foundation with light to medium coverage or a medium to full coverage.
If she didn't offer all the choices and only offered, say, powder foundations, many who prefer liquids or creams would be asking for cream or liquids and vice versa. Now if they were all the same type and provided the same type of coverage, I could understand the complaint but it actually seems pretty cut and dry what each product is geared towards so I am not sure why the confusion?
