gell eyeliners becoming too stiff....ideas??

I have ,,like 6,,gel eyeliners like BB and Tarte that were great at first. Now they are dry and harder to put on. Does anyoine have any ideas or suggestions on how to get this gel back to being soft and usable again? I love this stuff,,but it's so hard to put on now,,any help will be much appreciated.!!{#emotions_dlg.biggrin}
