foundation/ MV advice needed plz!

Hello lovely ladies! I have been using the original BE foundation & the tinted hydrating MV, but have decided I would like to try Matte, & was wondering which MV you all think goes best with matte? I also use the illumanating MV but think its to much with the original foundation made me look to shiney ......... would the original MV make matte look dull??
