found a self tanner that is pretty good

My luck with self tanners thru the years, has been almost non existent--every one has made me smell like dirty feet!! REALLY dirty feet--must be something in my skin that reacts to something in them. Their color has been ok-ish--less orangy but not a true brown tan color, for most of those brands. Usually after the 3-4 hours it takes for the color to start , is when I can smell that feet smell. GROSS!!!  So have not used any in years. But I found this brand called COCO&EVE at my local Ulta and it works very well for me. It is a dark mousse with a very velvety mit to apply it, the smell is very light and doesn't linger long. No transfer either. I got the medium color and have been testing it out on my arms. Now normally, I don't care about a tan,  but I am MOG for upcoming wedding and lordyWoman Embarassed are my legs fish belly white. I got a kit for $25 that includes a small bottle of mousse plus the mit. So will be interesting.

@wagirl

Didn't you use to use MineTan? Somewhere I remember that but I'm not sure.  If so, is the COCO&EVE better than that?

MineTan smells so good!

If it were me, I would try it out just the way you plan to use on the day of the wedding.  Give it enough time to wear off in case you don't like it.

I am not familiar with this product, because I have too many spots to use self tanner.  It tends to grab the spots and make them darker.....YIKES.  I have applied foam self tanner on DH's legs (he doesn't have spots) and it always looks good.  I have used a cheap brand from Walmart without a problem.

Good luck with it, but again, try it out well before the big day.

That’s awesome you found COCO&EVE! I had the same problem with self-tanners smelling awful and turning out orange. I tried a few brands and always had that gross, feet-like smell too. COCO&EVE sounds like a game-changer—light smell and no transfer sounds perfect. Good luck with the tan for the wedding! I’m sure it’ll look great.

Be careful. Tanners are loaded with toxins, and are known to cause long term issues.

@SilleeMee ---No--- I never have used that brand--never heard of it before. I stopped using anything years ago---but will check it out --am curious.

@tends2dogs --Oh yes, that is my plan--am using it right now for that very reason. Wedding in the 14th of this month. Have time to see how it does.

Not all @katie1859 .  Mine is certified Toxic Free.  Suzanne Organics. I love it.  I live at the beach and have color year round.  From this and only this.

After I shower at night, I apply it after I've towel dried off.  I dont' use any body moisturizer before I apply.

I wear long sleeved pajamas to bed after I've applied it and let it dry.  I shower again in the morning.  No scent.  I do this every couple of days in the summer.  Maybe once a week in the winter months.

I have close to a dozen bottles in my stock because I don't want to be without it!  It fades just like a tan would.

Gives me the color of when I used to tan.  When I'm on the beach, I look like everyone else out there in the sun.  I'm under an umbrella and wearing sunblock.
