@monicakm I have a lip tint from elf called black cherry and I really like it. On me, it's a decent color. I must confess that I haven't worn lip gloss since the 80's...just lost interest in it and lipstick gave me so much more color. HOWEVER and this is a big however, I bought an elf lip gloss called Sparkling Rose' about 6 months ago because I only paid like $3 for it. I got curious if lip glosses still gave you that greasy lip look but I threw it in a drawer and left it there and held onto it after I purged a bunch of stuff. So the other day, I broke it out and smeared it on and while I'm not a convert yet, I must admit I actually liked it...really pretty color and not too greasy looking...who knew🤷🏻♀️
@bmorechick I was never a lip gloss girl until a few years ago. I'll soon be 68, and while my lips still have a nice shape, I noticed that most lipsticks showed every crease & crinkle! I also didn't like the way they bled into those nasty little vertical lines around my lips. I hated using lipliner, too.
So I decided to try glosses over lip stains...wonder of wonders, my lips looked a little fuller, a whole lot less wrinkled, and the sheer glosses don't show if they do bleed--even the deeper colored ones. I really think it's a more youthful look. Buxom lip glosses, especially Dolly and Kir Royale, are my favorite. CoverGirl has discontinued their lip stains, but I always liked the Cinnamon Kiss. Palladio (sp?) has some nice ones--I tend toward natural looking colors for stains.
