ebay-is this a scam?

I put a bid on a duvet set on EBay. The listing went for several days. I received the email stating congratulations I had won. Then I received an email from the seller saying don't pay it was already sold. She stated she went camping and told her husband not to list this duvet set and that they sold it on Craigslist the week before. I won the bid for around $33.00 and the set sells for over $150.00. She just said sorry and that was it!!! Don't you think this was a scam as she didn't get what she wanted so she cancelled AFTER I won? She had been selling on eBay since 2008 so I know she didn't just make a mistake with her husband. I emailed eBay but they said to resolve with the seller. I think THIS is one reason people fear using eBay. This is so unprofessional. What do you think I should do?
