Regardless of whether or not you want to participate in the lawsuit against WEN you cannot discredit the claims of the people that have brought forth to the court of California their documented legal claims WEN and Chaz Dean settled like so many companies do read the full site and understand that the lawsuit is about false claims made by WEN as well as ppl stating that their hair fell out & they had scalp issues this is more complicated than just a few hairs in the sinkActually, yes, we can dispute the claims made. You have NO IDEA what actual scientific evidence was provided. All that was ever shown were photos posted to garner emotional support and endorsement from the public. WEN and Guthy Renker settled the suit because they felt it was a good business decision rather than continuing the battle that cost a great deal of money and the defense was actively working to basically destroy his business with what I believe were paid trolls that would show up here at strategic times right before and during big WEN days working hard to disrupt sales and scare people.
As for the false claims, that one cracked me up. The claim that people thought they would get hair just like the celebrity spokespeoples? Come on, every product out there uses celebrity folks and touts their beauty as a result of using this product or that. Me, I think I'll sue Aveeno because I used it faithfully for years and still don't look like Jennifer Anniston.
I read the e-mail I received. It said that it wasn't proved that WEN caused the problems stated in the lawsuit nor did WEN deceive anyone with their advertising. WEN decided to settle for reasons agreed to by both parties.
What I didn't like was that I could file a claim against WEN if I had bought their product from 2007 {I think that was the starting date} until now. Didn't tell me what "proof" I needed to provide that showed WEN caused me problems.
If you use a product that causes problems, stop using it. Simple.

One of those photos was used, in a hair loss claim, against Suave.

Totally agree with every word, @Buck-i-Nana! As to the false claims.... Ha! Really!
By-the-way, if Jennifer Anniston indeed WAS using Aveeno she was "helping to sell", which I'm sure she was not, but in case she was, then she now can turn around and SUE Aveeno for hair loss!!!
Look at her hair now! If you google "hair cuts for thin hair", she pops up on every search! Her hair is NOTHING like it used to be in the 90s, whatever she was using - her thick mane is gone! Just maybe, the age has something to do with thinning hair?

Living Proof is her hair care line. I never liked any of the products I tried. Left my hair very dry and snarly - and I never have snarls. Lol! Always have thought she is adorable though.

I received the postcard that the settlement has been reached and if you purchased WEN in the US between 11/1/2007 and 9/19/2016. Even though I know I read some had issues with WEN I never did but I did have issues with other shampoos I used before WEN but I just stopped using them.
I don't remember how long I've been using WEN but it's been several years now.

LP is full of alcohols and the bad kind. It basically strips your hair making it seems its cleaner longer. It worked OK for my hair in the first few months and then my hair turned to straw and broke off.

I haven't received an email about a WEN Class Action Law Suit.
However, I am a WEN user and continue to use WEN. I have had no issue with thinning hair. And when these allegations first came out, I talked to my dermatologist and to my hair stylist about this and they both agreed that, from what they knew, anyone having issues with their hair thinning, were more likely related to other issues (e.g. hormones, genetics, etc.). I love WEN, I use WEN and I will continue to do so.

Just got a check in the mail today for $25.00. I can't imagine what that settlement cost WEN. Millions? I do know, however, what WEN cost my hair....tremendous hair loss that took months to turn around.
