Last time I checked, they were no longer doing checks.

Since when does QVC ship the same day? Sounds like an excuse to cover their shipping partners bad business practices.

That's hilarious!

I find QVC to be the slowest shipper I purchase from, you're absolutely correct.

Sometimes they don't ship for 10 days, I've called them to cancel at that point and they say, 'No, you cannot cancel, the order is being processed'!

LOL

@Ronettes I believe they have two old gray-haired gentlemen accountants in white shirts, sleeve garters and green eyeshades processing orders.  That is the only explanation I could find.

If they had computers, as do most retailers, it would not be a problem to give you a set time frame of some reasonable time.  Must be the problem of those two old gents!  Woman Embarassed

Which could be exactly why QVC stopped accepting check payments!!

Too many did that so they could 'ponder' the sale, thus denying other customers the ability to order.

Then they cancel.....and people complain why stock is available again the next day.

Read the above 2 posts for one of the exact reasons why....

the ten second (it seems like) cancellation window has definitely cut back on my impulse purchasing. So for me it's a good thing.

You better make sure when you click place order you aren't gonna have buyers remorse because it is almost immediately too late to cancel even though same will not be shipped out for 4 days after said order is placed. It's ridiculous. I think they are hoping you'll change your mind back again and want the item after all . LOL

Tried cancelling an auto delivery item.  I got the email (timed a 5:38 AM). It's "in process" so couldn't cancel. Yet the item won't arrive until the 20th. Funny that it's "in process" yet won't be delivered until the 20th.  Something's wrong with QVC not allowing a reasonable time to cancel. If it truly is "in processing, then I should receive it mid- to end of this week. I receive items from a company in California in 2-3 days at most (regular shipping). I'm on East Coast).

Honestly, I'm very surprised they EVER allowed people to pay by check!

So ... basically, you order by check and they hold that item while you're trying to make up your mind .....  and then someone else who REALLY wants the item might find it sold out because of people like you?  Seriously?

BTW .... anyone know what a "RTR timeframe" is?

ITA with you .... Online retail isn't an easy business.  Even with the best computer programs in the world, the impulse buyers must be a constant PITA.

Hey, here's a radical idea .... if you aren't actually SURE you want something, don't order it and then whine when you can't cancel
