another "back to normal" for me.....

I had another--back to normal moment today--finally went to get my toes done. It's been since last September for my last pedi--I broke my ankle in October and all things "normal" that I did, stopped until a few months ago. Had to go as my big toes were screaming at me because of ingrown nails--- and thought soaking in a warm tub of scented bubbling water would do my leg/ankle/foot a world of good. And YES it was wonderful. My feet feel great and my toes are a lovely shade of duo chrome raspberry color. Even wore sandals for the first time without a problem---ahhhh, life is good!!!Woman Wink

@wagirl   Sounds like a luxurious experience. Happy your ankle is better and "tootsies" are ready to show off.

What a treat after grueling months of a cast and not being able to put weight on your leg. The color sounds fun. Enjoy all of your getting back to normal things.

@wagirl   You lucky lady; glad you enjoyed being spoiled & now you have pretty toes.

I'm up here in Bellingham & don't think I'm ready for sandals yet but soon I hope.

I wore closed toe shoes exactly three times this past winter. That's how mild it was. I will wear sandals when it's in the 50s though and I don't leave the house everyday, more like once or twice a week

Glad you're much better and up to a pedicure. The raspberry color sounds really pretty. I'll keep that in mind for the next time I have mine done. My surgery pedicure is a baby girl pink cream color with Kiara Sky clear base with blue and purple glitter.

'Atta girl!  There is something to be said about a professional pedicure.  It does make you feel like a new woman.  I have one big toe that I injured about 6 years ago and it didn't grow back normal.  It grows "curved" so I have to have it cut back every pedicure, but my gosh it feels so much better when I do!

Re: another "back to normal" for me.....

@wagirl - Congratulations! I know your toes look amazing!

I can relate a little. I never had a problem with ingrown toenails until about 6 months ago. Also, when I had my January pedicure we discovered a little fungus. That was new for me. So I decided no polish for a few months. After all, I wouldn't be wearing sandals. The first time for me in forever to not have polish on my toes! And getting rid of the fungus was painful. I went until the week before Easter, when I got a light lavender on them. I'll try to go in again the week before Mothers' Day.  Smiley Happy

@colleena ---well you know, we did have "summer " on Friday and Saturday--was 81* here in Woodinville--- You guys had nice weather too, right? And wore sandals strictly for getting toes done--have been in sensible shoes with support for months--due to the stupid ankle--not ready to go free wheeling without ankle support yet----altho I do have a bionic one now with the plates and screws in it!!!Woman Wink
