Whenever I get a haircut, they do not do a good job at styling it. The haircut is good but when they style it I do not like it. I like the way I do it better. I think the problem is I always had curly hair now its wavy and they always tried to straighten it. It is not just one but several beauticians through the years. Just wondering if I'm the only one.

I love how my stylist styles my hair after a cut; I can never style it the way she does once I get home! Why don't you tell your stylist how you want your hair styled?

I feel the same way! Also, I get kind of irritated when the stylist tells me how I should be wearing my hair. When I used to wear it natural, the stylists would always tell me I should be blow drying it to look more polished, and that straight hair would better compliment my face shape. Now that I'm wearing it straight, the stylists always tell me I should "go natural" because it would "fit my bone structure" better. It seems like they always want to get me to do the exact opposite of whatever I'm currently doing. LOL

Yea, it's usually all about the cut and/or color. The styling often seems to fall by the wayside...

I have short wavy hair - and I get great haircuts at SuperCuts. I recommend u check them out - or change ur stylist. They're all different.

I have always been lucky to get a good hair cut, but I've only ever had one beautician that styled the cut to suit me. My present beautician gives me a great cut, but doesn't even blow it dry, I wear my hair very short.

last haircut I got a decided to get bangs since I have a fivehead (as opposed to a forehead). I have very curly hair but the curl starts just around the top of my ears. The hairdresser insisted that my bangs would curl to which I said no they won't just cut the bangs! the cut was tentative at best and I wound up cutting more myself the next day. I believe they think they know more than you do about your hair. I will give them the skill set but this hair has been growing out of MY head for more than 50 years!
